Some of you asked if they could pre-order A Taste of Modern Evil by cheque (Canada only), postal money order or good old cash. The answer is YES!
All you need to do is send an email to order@howlingsyn.net with your order, your city, province/state and country and the method of payment you prefer. We will then write you back with the full details.
Of course, you can also use PayPal or any major credit card to order directly from the Merchandise section.
In any case, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them!

Howling Syn has decided to take a break for a while. After almost 10 years and some line-up changes, we think it’s best for us to explore new stuff and recharge our artistic batteries. But we felt it would be wrong to take this break without giving our fans the chance to hear the new material that we recorded in late 2006 and early 2007.
So Howling Syn's 3rd album, A Taste of Modern Evil, will be released exclusively online on February 13, 2008. The first 100 copies will include a collector's booklet and a bonus track, so pre-order your copy now! In the meantime, we’ve added 4 full songs and 2 samples from this new album on our MySpace page and samples from all the songs in our Discography section.

Howling Syn would like to thank each and everyone who attended The Grand Masquerade in Montréal and Le Grand Bal des Vampires in Québec City.
We heard that The Grand Masquerade attracted around 50,000 people on Friday night only! WOW! It was a blast!! Special thanks to all the dedicated staff and performers, it was a pleasure working with such great people who make sure Halloween will never be forgotten, and a very special thanks to Jean-Marc from The Box, who shared the stage with us to sing L'Affaire Dumoutier - it will be something to remember!
Then on Saturday it was time for Québec City to taste our evil! The show was in a magnificent room filled with vampires and other nocturnal creatures. It was very exciting and we shall come back to haunt this beautiful city! Special thanks to DJ Kronos for this unique event!

Good news for the Synners from the Montréal and Québec City areas! Howling Syn will visit both cities at the end of October to celebrate Halloween. The band's performance in Québec City will be part of Le Grand Bal des Vampires, featuring live music (bands and DJs), gothic & medieval fashion shows, art exhibits, movie projections & more! Stay tuned for more info about the show in Montréal.

We have sad news for you Synners. After 7 years with Howling Syn, Éric Mireault, our dear friend and Patryk’s partner in crime for over 16 years, has decided to step away from music for a while to take care of his family. We have decided to carry on and we are now looking for a new drummer. So anyone interested is invited to drop us a line. We want to wish Éric the best of luck with his future projects!
Éric will be finishing his drum parts for the 3rd Howling Syn album before he quits for good. So he will have played on 3 Howling Syn albums.
We still need some confirmation about a big Halloween show in Montréal, that should be Éric’s last show with the band.
So thanks a lot for all the great time you gave us! Enjoy your new life!

Those of you in the Sacramento, California area will also be able to watch Patryk & Sophie's Our Sweet Oblivion acoustic live performance on TV, along with videos from such bands as Usurper, Dragonforce & Evergray, during the SACXTREME TV show (Comcast channel 18) on 6/6/06 at 11:30 PM.

Hailz Synners!
Finally a website and band update... We've been writing and rehearsing a lot in the past months. We now have 13 new songs and we're getting them ready for the studio in early 2006. The new stuff is fuckin' heavy. We're very excited about this new material! It's a new start for Howling Syn.
We've just added a few songs for download so if you don't have our CDs yet it's another chance for you to download some new HS stuff. We've also added a new wallpaper. You'll find all this in the Pictures & Downloads section of the official website.

Sophie and Patryk will be playing 2 acoustic versions of Howling Syn songs for a musical review presented by Philippe Parent, Sophie's voice teacher.
The show will take place on Saturday June 18, at 7:30pm, at Salle Brébeuf (5575, Decelles ave, at the corner of Côte-Sainte-Catherine, in Montréal). This is a unique occasion - don't miss it!

Good news! Howling Syn now has a new member who will replace Gilbert. Patryk has hung up his bass and will now concentrate on guitars. So the band now has a new bass player called Carlo Moscardini, who previously worked with Liege Lord, Overkill, Type O Negative, etc. This is the strongest line-up Howling Syn's ever had! We can't wait to play for you!! We're having such a good time playing together and you will feel it too!!!
And more great news! Howling Syn is now confirmed for this year's edition of the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, Sunday April 24 at the Palladium, Worcester, MA. We are very pleased to be a part of such a great event! This will be the band's first US gig and our first with Carlo, so we are very excited to play for our American fans! We will share the stage with King Diamond, Dark Tranquillity, Soilwork, Hypocrisy, Nile & many more! Check the Festival's website for more details.

Howling Syn will be interviewed by Christine Fortier, from the Grimoire du métal on CISM (89,3 FM), tomorrow at 10pm (EST). Those who do not live in the Montréal area can still listen to the broadcast on the Internet by visiting CISM. Don't miss it because there will be some interesting scoops! (If you can't listen to it or if you don't understand French, check back during the next week to learn some more.)

We wish to inform you of the departure of Gilbert Riendeau, who is no longer part of the band mainly because of artistic divergence. We wish him good luck with his future endeavours.
Howling Syn will continue its evolution and is presently looking for guitarists/bassists to complete the pack. So we encourage all interested musicians (male or female – it would be nice to have another lady!) to contact us, with all relevant info, at howlingsyn@howlingsyn.net. (Please keep in mind that we are based in Montréal (Québec, Canada).)
