How many times you guys heard about Howling Syn on the web, Mp3.com,etc... Those guys always had a Top 5 songs on Mp3.com. That's how they have built a strong fan base even if they only did one concert!!!! After releasing a couple of Demo CDs on Mp3.com it's now time to hear the real thing, their first album, Forebearers of Dusk. Let me tell you that I've not been dissapointed at all! Blending different styles such as Power Metal, Medieval, Gothic & Etheral music, they have reach a very important goal, creating a unique sound...Howling Syn. Conceptual lyrics, orchestral choir, flute, piano, amazing keyboards and some samplers. Talking about the vocals, good angelique female voice, clean male vocal, death vocals. Awesome backing vocals! The only negative point in my opinion is that in some little parts the male vocals may sound a little bit weak (exemple in Medieval Years) but don't get me wrong , it's really really good, just a couple of parts could have been better I think. So with those amazing guitar melodies and a very strong rythm section (drum , bass), this album is solid as a rock! Listening to this release is like seing a movie, an amazing scenario. Close your eyes, listen to the melodies & lyrics and I'm sure your imagination will do the rest. Good from the beginning to the end. A journey into the dark world of Howling Syn. Majestic, a true masterpiece.
